Preventing and or reducing early drug and underage
alcohol use is at the foundation of all of HPI's Prevention Center
programs and services.
HPI's Prevention Center programs utilize researched
curriculum and community coalition involvement to promote the
development and sustenance of healthy lifestyles in children,
adolescents and families. Programming is designed to address current
stressors facing our youth that are known precipitators to adolescents
experimentation with alcohol and or drugs, such as violence, poor school
affiliation, sexual activity, children of substance abusers and criminal
justice involvement.
HPI's team of prevention specialists utilize a variety of
techniques to engage, educate and empower a wide spectrum of audiences
to make healthy, positive decisions regarding substance use, including
students, athletic teams, parents, educators, businesses, community
groups, and other professionals.
